IGIA Turns One: Celebrating Beauty, Wellness & You

IGIA WELLNESS & MEDSPA JOURNEY

Starting a business and navigating life’s curveballs has been the hardest and most rewarding journey. That’s the story behind IGIA.

IGIA means “health” in Greek, and as Sophia and I are both first-generation Greek Americans, we wanted to marry our heritage with our passion for medicine and aesthetics.

Our mission is simple: to empower patients to feel confident, healthy, and cared for inside and out.

This year, IGIA grew from offering just a few treatments to becoming a trusted destination for:

✨ Botox, Dysport, fillers, facials, peels

✨ Hormone therapy, IV vitamins, supplements

✨ Medically supervised weight loss

But more than that, it’s become a community. Thank you for trusting us. We are so grateful!

Personal Journey- from Dr. Julie Tsirambidis, DNP, APRN-CNP

My Personal Journey to IGIA Wellness & MedSpa. When I dreamed of creating IGIA Wellness & MedSpa, I knew it would be more than just a business. It was a vision born from years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, my deep love for patient care, and my desire to treat people in a way that went beyond what I could offer in a traditional primary care setting.

The Vision and Mission

At IGIA Wellness & MedSpa, our mission is simple but powerful: to empower patients to feel confident, healthy, and cared for in every aspect of their wellness journey. Whether it’s a simple skincare routine, a rejuvenating facial, advanced aesthetic treatments, or medically supervised wellness services, our vision is to provide comprehensive care that’s personalized, compassionate, and innovative. But vision alone doesn’t build a business.

The Hardest Year of My Life

Starting a business while maintaining a full-time career (and raising 4 kids!) has been one of the greatest challenges I’ve ever faced. I searched far and wide for the right partner—someone I could trust like a member of my own family—and then set out to find a team that not only had talent but also truly believed in our mission. That, I can tell you, was the hardest part of all. And for any woman out there who thinks starting a business is easy, let me be the first to say: it is not. It means not taking a salary for more than a year, ensuring your staff is paid, bills are covered, and that you stay committed to the long game. Success isn’t overnight—it’s a 3-to-5-year plan built on sacrifice, faith, and perseverance.

Life Beyond the Business

This past year also tested me in deeply personal ways. As we opened IGIA, my family was walking through storms of our own, but through it all, my husband and children reminded me of our resilience, grit, and the power of pressing forward with faith.

Lessons from Leadership

I’ve been in healthcare for almost 30 years (crazy!) And I currently serve as a leader to nearly 550 advanced practice providers in a large health system. I know what it means to lead in challenging environments, but this journey with IGIA has taught me something new: the importance of humility.

To the women reading this who are dreaming of building something of their own, I want to share this:

• Stay committed.

• Don’t give up.

• Surround yourself with good people who believe in you, not judge from the sidelines.

• Never forget why you started.

• Be brave enough to be bad at something new.

Faith at the Center

My faith in Jesus has carried me every step of the way. I remind myself daily: if I do my best and surrender the rest to Him, everything will be as it should.

Looking Ahead to Year 2

What started with just a handful of services has already grown into something beautiful. From facials and peels to injectables like Botox, Dysport, lip fillers, Sculptra, and Skinvive—our talented aestheticians, RNs, and NPs are here to serve you. Our front desk expert Natalie is a wealth of tips and information for our patients. We also provide wellness services such as supplements, hormone therapy, IV vitamins, and medically supervised weight loss. And don’t forget, we are inside the most adorable boutique, “Relevant”, owned by my dear friend Ashley James. Who doesn’t love a good retail therapy afternoon? Who say you can’t get a facial and an outfit too :)

But this is only the beginning. My dream is for IGIA Wellness & MedSpa to become a one-stop destination for total wellness and beauty—a place where you feel cared for, inside and out.

So here’s to health, growth, and perseverance.

Jules
